A more Sustainable hospitality
The environment is important to us This is why we participate in Stay for the Planet. a programme based on a Standard recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the organisation that sets and guides standards for sustainable development in travel and tourism globally.
The programme
The programme is based on a sustainability rating drawn up by LifeGate’s scientific committee, which, by assigning a score from 1 to 5 expressed in leaves, reflects the hotels’ environmental and social performance in the following impact areas: Energy, Water, Waste, Purchasing, Behaviour and People.
What we do:
- Thanks to constant monitoring of consumption, we aim to conserve resources
- We rigorously carry out separate waste collection, to which we also ask guests to contribute via the waste bins placed in the common areas
- We make our guests aware of food waste and offer various vegetarian and vegan alternatives
- We provide two Sagelio charging stations for electric cars, to promote sustainable mobility
- We choose renewable energy by purchasing guarantees of origin
- We encourage customers to a sustainable stay, inviting them to virtuous behaviour, from attention to water consumption to reusing towels and bed linen, from wasting food at breakfast to switching off unused lights in the room
A certified commitment
The Hotel Turismo is happy to announce that it has been awarded the Green Key certification, a prestigious award conferred by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), testifying to our commitment to more sustainable hospitality.
Achieving Green Key certification is the result of a path of continuous improvement, aimed at meeting strict standards in the areas of environmental management, energy efficiency, waste management, responsible use of water resources, nature conservation and promotion of sustainable practices.
We are proud to be part of this movement and believe that together with our guests and employees we can actively contribute to the preservation of our precious territory.
